Dawn Bowery Exhibiting at Aspire Studio

Here at the Aspire Studio, we currently have the pleasure of exhibiting a body of work by Dawn Bowery, a fabulous photographer specialising in travel and portraiture.

With a diverse background both technical and creative, Dawn’s career in film and television visual effects had resulted in several promax/BDA industry awards and nominations for BAFTA and Academy Awards in visual effects for Babe 2 and Hollow Man.  As an artist, Dawn is now combining her years of professional experience with her passion for photography and travel.

Within the body of work on show at the Aspire Studio are a selection of photographs taken in Cuba, China and Morocco.  Dawn’s intensely personal approach, classic sense of composition and aesthetic awareness combined with modern digital imaging techniques provide an intimate narrative of a rich and deeply textured world like no other!

“While taking a course at the wonderful Aspire Studio last year, I showed the team a few examples of my travel photography on my iPhone.  I couldn’t believe it when they asked me if I would like to exhibit my work in the studio gallery!  I was absolutely thrilled and said, ‘yes’, on the spot!  A selection of my images is now on display at the studio.

It is a real honour to be able to show my photographs in such a stunning location.  A huge “thank you” to Aspire for inviting me to exhibit and to everyone who made me so welcome, especially AJ and Mel.  I highly recommend a visit to the studio and to take one of the great courses on offer.” Dawn Bowery

Alongside the Aspire Studio gallery, Dawn’s recent exhibitions include the Ward-Nasse in New York and the Tricycle in London.  Her photograph ‘Essaouira Street’ shown below was selected for the Royal Academy of Arts Summer exhibition 2009.

All photographs are for sale - to view Dawn’s complete collection visit www.dawnbowery.com.

With thanks to Dawn.
