The Aspire Photography Training #5daymarketingchallenge
#5daymarketingchallenge
Over the past few days we have witnessed a surge of activity on Facebook encouraging all levels of photographers to leap into the “5-day black and white photo challenge”. The impact on my Facebook thread has been inspirational, the sheer quality of the images and enthusiasm for the challenge is a real credit to all creatives within our industry. With hope, I quest you all to have the same level of enthusiasm and creativity for the Aspire 5-day marketing challenge.
As you know the photography industry is never far from my mind, nor is the development of those within the industry. One of the most challenging aspects for the professional photographer is marketing. One observation I felt inspired to share before I launch the #5daymarketingchallenge is this; you will be marketing your business when you don’t realise you are! During your #5daymarketingchallenge become alert to those activities linked to developing your business and your profile within the community. How are you currently attracting clients? Now is the time to find courage; market your photography like “Elvis Presley’, in a style and manner that is all about being a showman or woman. Show off, celebrate your skills as a photographer and simply be prepared to wave a little fairy dust over what you do to attract the right clients into the business.
Your business needs to perform from a creative stage, it needs a platform to showcase the very best of what you do. Make sure you utilise all marketing threads that are currently building your business and if you have attended Aspire workshops dust down those notes, refer back to all the advise we gave you and tap into the wealth of knowledge and advise that has the power to transform your business.
The #5daymarketingchallenge is all about the guiding you into marketing engagement
We quest you this! Create a plan for the next 5 days that implements a marketing task into your business everyday for 5 days. Each day you set your task nominate a fellow photographer Below are some clues to get you started …

Day 1 of the #5daymarketingchallenge . Thank you for the nomination Catherine Connor. As a marketing and photography professional I have decided to highlight the various P’s of marketing over the next 5 days. Today will be “promotion” and seeing that it’s less than 7 weeks to go before Christmas I’d like to challenge all Aspirettes to take the time to create and get your holiday promotions in market to maximise the biggest spending time of the year. This could be a series of back to back mini-shoots leading up to Christmas, gift voucher suggestions for someone’s stocking or a fire-sale ahead of Black Friday madness later on this month. Keep it simple but get it out there fast, or someone else will. I’d like to nominate Barbara Leatham to share 5 marketing ideas or examples over the next 5 days.
