Motivation and Inspiration
What motivates you? Whether you’re a student or in the world of work there will always be something that motivates you. My motivation comes from the future and my aims and ambitions.
Sometimes motivation can be hard to find, for me it’s when I have that 2000 thousand word essay sat in front of me, when I’d much rather be out and about with my camera and my sketch books. I find myself counting down the days until I’m back at Aspire sat at my desk surrounded by everything I love to do. However without studying and getting the grades I need, I wouldn’t be able to do the things I love. So for all you artistic wonderful creative people out there work is hard but without it would you be able to run that fantastic business your creating?
I have recently purchased a note board for my desk, I list all the exciting things I have to look forward to. For example my holiday in summer and the arrival of my new camera. So every time I’m sat at my desk surrounded by exam revision books I can tell myself not long to go. Someone once said to me “If you don’t build your dream, someone will hire you to build theirs’. This quote is amazing and completely true, if you don’t full fill your dreams no one else is going to. For the students out there like me, keep on going, if you work hard enough you will achieve your ambitions, take every opportunity you can, if ‘opportunity doesn’t knock build a door.’ The most successful people are fully committed to what they are working towards.
I’ve found that making sure I have a balance of studying and a balance of doing what I love really helps, but this only happens with planning. Planning what your day will entail helps you get everything done, and have time for being you. Carry round a diary, jot important tasks down and tick them off as you go, every tick will give you the motivation to carry on. People who are successful set themselves daily achievable goals. I find that splitting long term goals into small achievable goals helps you to achieve your vision more easily. Look at the people around you, who inspires you, whether it’s your friend, family, someone famous. You can use your inspirations to motivate you and your business or to study and pass that dreaded exam. Catherine Connor is one of my inspirations she has achieved her own successful business and is constantly working to develop and better Aspire. I aim to have my own business like Catherine one day, working with her and the Aspire team inspires and motivates me. Every time I go home I have a clearer vision of what I want to achieve. Surround yourself with things that inspire and motivate you it is so important in order to achieve your goals.
Motivation leads to inspiration and inspiration can lead to success if you’re enthusiastic and enjoy what you do you will find inspiration will come.
Motivation is the key to success
