Creating My Best Year Yet

Those who have just joined me for the first lecture of my day at the SWPP convention will perhaps already be on the road to creating their best year yet. For those unable to attend here’s an insight into how to design your perfect year.
Designing your perfect year is all about setting an expectation, for yourself and the business. Ask yourself; if you could design the perfect year, what would it entail? How would that year feel? And what would the outcomes of the year be? Reflect on the importance of your year, it really is your year to grab, mould and nurture. This will become one of the most significant tasks of your week. It has the power to define your outcomes and happiness in equal measures. Never-ever underestimate the value of this simple yet effective task.Designing the perfect virtual year will give you a clear understanding of all you want to achieve. All businesses need a performance gauge. Put pen to paper and note down your performance indicators and use this to guide your activity. Identify what your “best year” looks like, and how you perform should act as a motivator! This task is by no means designed to demotivate you.Designing my best year yet was inspired by the book Jinny S. Ditzlers. We all have to find our own guide; another book to consider as a tool to inspire productivity is “The Wine Bar Theory” by David Gilbertson. When you get to the final chapter your reward will be revealed.Books can be a great motivation and source to all creative thinkers. Whatever your method, have a mindset or tool that helps you remain alert, focused and on track with your business. This year will disappear as fast as the last!

It’s important to review; designing your upcoming year should bring you fresh momentum and vigor. Invest this time on the business and your expectations of the year. Study everything from the sales you want to receive, the marketing activity you want to generate, through to the achievement in business and lifestyle. The trick is to not leap too far forward into a New Year without a plan of action and a vision.
